The Village of Harrison Hot Springs has a population of approximately 1,600 people and is about two hour drive East on the Trans Canada Highway from down town Vancouver. Harrison Village is world renowned for its Hot "Mineral Water" springs.
In Harrison Village's immediate area there are activities for all ages, twelve months a year. Harrison Village is located on the shores of Harrison Lake and is surrounded by vertical mountains. Harrison Lake is from one to two miles wide and about forty seven miles (75km) long and very deep, (900 feet) and glacier water fed. Although Harrison Village is in the Eastern end of the Fraser Valley it is still privileged with the moderate temperatures of the West Coast (warming from the Japanese current). With summer temperatures in the mid 20 degrees centigrade (70's plus Fahrenheit), and 5 to 15 degrees centigrade in winter (40 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit). Winters have a lot of snow in the higher elevations and some from time to time at lake level.
